Join us this Sunday in front of the Fairmont Empress from 12-2pm as we continue to draw awareness, hand out flyers and inform the pubic of the two fur stores (called Designer International) hiding inside the Empress.
Bring a sign! Leaflets provided. Join in any capacity for as long as you would like !
There will be no in person demonstration this weekend in front of the Empress, but please attend this online demonstration by emailing the Fairmont and asking them to stop supporting the two fur stores hiding inside their hotel. These stores do not respresent Victoria and Vancouver Island and we are asking the new owners to renovate the fur out of the Empress. Go to the Facebook event page here.

National Anti-Fur Day Demonstration Outside of The Empress
This is event will be a double bill, so bring your friends for double the people!
We will be continuing week 3 of our demonstrations against Capital Iron with leafleting and signs. These demos have been very successful so far, so lets keep the pressure on.
It just so happens that the horse-drawn trolleys will also be stopping right next door in front of Ocean River Sports, so we are teaming up with Ban Horse Carriages Victoria to hand out info and hold signs against the horse carriage industry in Victoria as well.
See you on the front lines!

We are dissapointed that our local Capital Iron had decided to continue to sell inhumane and cruel Canada Goose fur jackets, this season.
Last time we were protesting in front of Capital Iron we talked to many locals who were as surprised and disturbed as we were that Capital Iron is selling Canada Goose coats with Canadian coyotes as fur trim.
Join us to leaflet in front of Capital Iron next Sunday to raise awarness.
We will post the leaflet sometime this week to view
Baconalooza is an event taking place May 23rd, 2015 at the Velox rugby club where 2200lbs of bacon will be served to event attendees.
Chef Morgan Onda, who is organizing the event, commented in a Times Colonist interview that he welcomed animal activists to come all the way to the gates to protest the event. So, we are going to take him up on that offer.
Why? Because to promote violence against animals, pigs specifically in this case, for an event that is drenched in excess and self-indulgence is something that we must challenge in our community. Normative conceptions of these animals are that they are stupid and filthy. We will bring a message that shows the individual behind the bacon and that encourages event goers to meet their meat.
We hope you will join us in this awareness raising protest against this excessive and violence promoting event.
Empty the Tanks! Vancouver Aquarium Protest

All event locations can be found on the main event page:https://www.facebook.com/

Not Your Mother, Not Your Milk Demonstration
This mother’s day weekend show you really care by demonstrating against the dairy industry on Vancouver Island.
We will stand outside the Island Farms plant on the corner of Bay and Blanchard with signs and a banner to raise awareness of this inhumane industry.
Join us in exposing this industry for what it is this Mother’s Day. All mothers deserve to be free human or not.
