Island Animal Liberation is dedicated to raising awareness and opposing the the systemic exploitation and abuse of non-human animals in Victoria, B.C. and across Vancouver Island.
The Empress: Fur Kills Campaign
Join us in sending a message to The Empress hotel that they need to shut down the two fur retailers that operate in their lobby. Help us end the promotion of this inhumane industry in Victoria, B.C. that claims the lives of 3 million animals across Canada each year and hundreds of millions more around the world.
Island Farms: Not Your Mom, Not Your Milk Campaign
Every year Island Farms takes millions of litres of milk from baby cows to feed to humans. No human needs to drink cows milk and the health benefits of it are questionable at best as it is a highly processed food. This is also an extremely inhumane industry that forces animals to be constantly pregnant to produce, steals their children from them nearly at birth, and sends them off to be slaughtered once they are used up. Help us fight this inhumane and unnecessary industry.
Capital Iron: End Selling Canada Goose Apparel Campaign.
Victory! Find out more about our campaign asking Capital Iron to end their relationship with the inhumane fur products of Canada Goose Apparel. We worked hard for a year to get them to drop this label from their store and after overwhelming community support and pressure they have said they will no longer be ordering from Canada Goose. Thank you!
Baconalooza: Protest For the 250
Victory! Last year we demonstrated against a bacon festival called Baconalooza that was going to kill 250 pigs for one day of debauchery. We demonstrated and campaigned against this and after a dismal turnout at the event, they aren’t coming back!
